Cardinal Ravenwood is an elderly priest and member of the Tribunal. He presents a religious perspective on the issues regarding Dethklok. He claims to have prophetic visions on a regular basis, most of which relate to Dethklok; however, they are not always reliable, or at the very least are not fulfilled as literally as he explains them.

Though his visions are often inaccurate, he does accurately foretell his own death, having had dreams of Salacia speaking to him in an unknown language, which he interprets as a sign that he would die. The prediction is realized in "The Metalocalypse Has Begun", when Salacia telekinetically explodes his eyes and causes his intestines to extrude from his mouth and strangle him for his betrayal. His dying words are, "The Metalocalypse has begun." Indeed, his death is the trigger for the countdown of the Apocalypse of Metal.

Though Crozier forgot the events of the night, Ravenwood continuously appears to him in dreams which seem to be more than just memories but also warnings from beyond the grave. Mysteriously, when members of the Tribunal appear at a U.N. assembly to possibly oversee the meeting, one of the members present appears to be Cardinal Ravenwood. However, this may be some sort of trick performed by Mr. Salacia although why he did this is unknown as Cardinal Ravenwood's death is shown to be public knowledge.
